15.0 Purchasing Books From The Leopold Bloom Press

Terms and Conditions of Sale: We offer Sale or Return at 60/40 in our favour. This means the retailer receives 40% of the stock price. If items are not sold after three months, we will collect them and settle the account. Full terms and conditions at www.leopoldbloom.ie

Account Opening Terms: Sale or Return Suppliers
The Leopold Bloom Press Limited will accept titles for sale or return with the following terms:

  • The discount off the recommended retail price can be no more than 40%.
  • After 3 months, we will ask bookstore managers to assess the title’s sales. We will amend the invoice to reflect copies sold and send to your accounts team for payment. If required, we will be
    collect unsold stock. If we fail to collect the stock within one month of
    notification, we ask bookshops to notify us so that we can collect it.
  • We will provide an invoice with the initial stock delivery and all subsequent deliveries.
  • With regard General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), we are required to notify you of how your data will be used. The information given on this form will be used for the following purposes only:
    – To contact you for stock orders and/or returns- To receive payments
    – To receive payments and to notify you of new stock.
  • We agree to retain your information in accordance with GDPR rules. The data on file is kept for the duration of our book being stocked by you. Invoices will be stored securely for 7 years in accordance with general accounting practices.
  • Returned stock should be in plastic covering if supplied and undamaged.
  • Damaged stock cannot be returned.

15.1 Postage and Packaging

Leopold Bloom Press provides a number of options for postage and delivery. Leopold Bloom Press recommends choosing registered post for items being delivered outside of Ireland as Leopold Bloom Press can take no responsibility for items lost or stolen as a result of the postage method chosen by the customer.

15.2 Returns Policy

Leopold Bloom Press endeavours to ensure that the condition of every book listed on the sites is as described in those listings. If you are dissatisfied for any reason with any item, you may return your purchase within 30 days for a full refund. Leopold Bloom Press reimburses shipping costs for returns only if the condition of the item is not as described on our web site. By purchasing from Leopold Bloom Press, you agree that a full refund with paid shipping will be your sole and exclusive remedy for any book you receive that is not as described on the leopoldbloom.ie site, and you waive all other remedies or actions in such event. This does not affect your statutory rights. You are solely responsible for the security of all of the data contained on your computer system prior to accessing or using the leopoldbloom.ie web sites

19.1 Any behaviour or language or communication deemed unreasonable, inappropriate, violent, threatening, excessive or violating will be reported to A Garda Siochana and may result in a criminal record. Any action that is considered non-cooperative such as refusal to fully complete forms is considered a ground for refusal and no refund will be offered.

19.2 Any company, person or organisation who breaches the GDPR of Leopold Bloom Press by disclosing sensitive data to its staff or customers knowingly or unknowingly by email, online or otherwise will be sought for damages.

19.3 Any company, person, or organisation who causes undue stress, loss of reputation, stress by breaching GDPR will be sought for damages.

19.4 Under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997 and the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, Leopold Bloom Press reserves the right to refuse to communicate or provide with any person deemed to be exhibiting signs malicious behaviour, suspected altered state, or exhibiting unreasonable behaviour in any form including Leopold Bloom Press.

Visiting Speakers

1.0 Those who are invited to speak at events or make appearances at The Leopold Bloom Press do so expressly on a voluntary unpaid. All expenses including travel, hotel and food should be provided by themselves or by application for funding from their respective university or society. Under no circumstances will payment be offered without prior agreement in writing.

2.0 It is recommended that you inform us no less than 24 hours in advance if you intend to request feedback. This allows us the opportunity to ensure participants can offer their details and are in agreement.
